Irish Volunteer memorabilia on display at Belfast Museum

/, Past Exhibitions/Irish Volunteer memorabilia on display at Belfast Museum

Firstly, some club news. At a recent meeting in Cork, we decided to put a forum on this site. This will take place at some point during the summer, most likely June. This has been requested by members and we hope it will give rise to useful and healthy debate.

We have uploaded some photos of Irish Volunteer Commemorative club items on display in Belfast. The items are on full loan to the McCorley Society Museum.

The items include the door handle to the general post office during the 1916 Rising, Cumann na mBann uniforms, medals and badges, also there are Irish volunteers uniforms, IRA Black & Tan medals, 1916 Rising medals, and Irish volunteers badges. We also have on display a proclamation of the Irish Republic.

The pictures speak best for themselves.
