Mordachy ‘Mardy’ O’Connor,
Just joined the Irish Volunteers Commemorative Organisation this morning. I joined in part due to the memory of my Great-Grandfather Mordachy ‘Mardy’ O’Connor, and his brother Tom, who enlisted in the Mantua Unit
[Roscomon] of the Irish Volunteers in Jan 1917 under the command of Edward Holmes. I just wanted to give my support and contribute to such a fantastic organisation – it is crucial to keep the story of these men & women alive – thank you for providing a platform to do this and keep up the good work.
