O’DONOVAN ROSSA COMMEMORATION IV EXHIBITION, July 11, 2015

///O’DONOVAN ROSSA COMMEMORATION IV EXHIBITION, July 11, 2015

On Saturday July 11, 2015, the Irish Volunteer Commemorative Organisation held an Exhibition display and commemoration at Reenascreena Village, Rosscarbery, Co. Cork.

Reenscreena is the birth place of O’Donovan Rossa and we were very happy to commemorate this great patriot in his own place.

The casket that carried his remains are on display in the village and it is to the great credit of the people of this village and beyond that they have restored and placed it in a place where all can come and see this item of Irish historical importance.

We were honoured to place our flag on this casket. We would like to thank the people for inviting us and to and it was hospitality of the highest order we received and we will not forget the very warm welcome. Thanks to Jean, Noel and all..
