Brendan Keane August 28, 2012 at 2:02 pmLog in to Reply Hi James, I have just come across this post on the 6th Battalion . My father William Keane and his brother Sean were active serving members of E Company 6th Batt. old IRA. I would love to see any pics or information you have about the period. Recently I got a copy of my fathers old IRA pension application form and it makes interesting reading ,also have some pics of the company . regds, Brendan Keane. Do you mind me asking where you got this? I have been researching the Sixth Battalion for some time now but have yet to see this photo. The other photo Im talking about is featured in Liam Clare’s ‘Foxrock and Cabinteely Memories’ and is almost certainly taken at the same time as the men are wearing identical clothes. Kind Regards, James Brendan Keane August 30, 2012 at 10:47 amLog in to Reply Hi James, if you are still researching the 6th. battalion you are welcome to any information and photos I have. regards, Brendan Keane JamesBrady September 7, 2012 at 2:15 amLog in to Reply That would be great Brendan.
