A small contingent of the Irish Volunteers travelled to Beal na mBlath last Sunday for the Michael Collins commemoration. First we went to Kilmurry to the homestead of the MacSwineys,Terence MacSwineys Grandparent was born in what is now the museum next to the Pub,some nice photos on the wall. Some pics attached,we recommend a visit to the museum and the Pub.When we arrived at the ambush site we could see Veronique and  the others on the hill beyond the stream but unfortunately we could not make it to them because of the crowd,we will meet again though we are sure.

RIP Michael Collins,on this day,August 22 ,1922. 90 years ago.
