    Hi Louise,
My Dad ( Larry Walsh, Stoneen, deceased now, but a member of 5h Batt, Kilkenny Brigade) made two little hurleys
which were on the grave in Thomastown until they rotted. They were strapped together with a bolt and washers on both sides. Many people still remember them. He was on the Committee of the Old Comrades Association in Thomastown
for many years with your grandfather Tom, Jack Crennan and several others. I have some paper cuttings. Great to see your interest. Regards.
    Walter Walsh.

I am a Grandniece of Nicholas and I named my son Nicholas too.
Do you have any information on other ambushes that Nicholas was involved in?

I am a great grand nephew of Nicholas.
Me and me father are trying to put together a family tree, and I would love to share any information we may have with you, and vice versa.
Obviously this may be a bit much for complete strangers, but I can send you my family tree if you want
