Irish Volunteers Exhibition at The Felons Club, Falls Road, Belfast.

We had a great weekend in Belfast the weekend of October 3 to 6. With a very good turn out at the exhibition itself at the Felons club, on display we had numerous artifacts and paper work to the Fenian Dynamite campaign including letters related to Thomas Clarke, etc.

We would like to pay our thanks to all in the Felons Club for their warm hospitality, including Breda, Mary, Joe, Marty and Marie and many more to numerous to mention. We were presented with some very nice mementos from Joe and Breda and the lads and we now thank them very much and look forward to seeing them in the near future. We were very well received and wish them all the best in the future.

A very special thanks to Pat O’Hagan too for his warm hospitality.

Around noon we presented a 1916 Proclamation plaque to Pat McArdle from the Roddy McCorley Society and it now hangs proudly at the main entrance of that society building. Pat is a great man and does a huge amount of work in remembering our volunteers.

It was great to see all the members and the committee together again. This was a huge undertaking and the effort put in by all was tremendous, especially all the lads and lassies from Knockraha and the many many other members who traveled to the event. Thanks to Brian, Garry, Kevin, John, Padraig, Robbie, Pat, Barbara, Maggie, Pat L, Mick, Diarmuid, Sean, Eoghan and Eamon who all traveled many miles to attend. To those who did not make the trip we will see you another day.

More photos to follow.
