    The system used to put up the excerpt about the TAKING OF KILMALLOCK RIC Barracks is not totally satisfactory.

    It should also be mentioned that the soon to become Commander of the West Waterford Brigade Flying Column, the young George Lennon, of Dungarvan, was also among the attackers. He was being trained for his future role and his baptism of fire included being close to Scully when that Volunteer was shot.
